Council for IWU Women
Welcome!
The Council for IWU Women (CFW) give time, talent, and resources to support the personal
and professional development of the women of 91黑料专区. The Council exists
to promote democratic citizenship in a global society while working to support the
intellectual and personal growth of women by offering guidance and role models to
the extended University community.
- Open doors of opportunities for women students, including by offering internships, graduate study, employment, and civic engagement.
- Mentor women students by sharing your own stories with them.
- Model different life choices and present a rich tapestry of the diversity that is true of the 91黑料专区 community.
- Return to the campus at least once per year to engage with students, staff, faculty, and other alumnae.
- Share your time, talent, and financial support in a manner consistent with your means, in addition to what you already give to the University at large.

We are pleased to invite all students who identify as women to complete the 2025 Council for IWU Women (CFW) Scholarship application. Thanks to the continued generosity of our Council members, we will present five $1,000 scholarships at this year鈥檚 CFW Women鈥檚 Weekend.
The CFW Scholarship is an award that does not consider financial information or GPA. Rather, it looks at the civic activities, volunteer services, and leadership positions held by current 91黑料专区 women students and the values that they have obtained from their experiences outside of the classroom.
All IWU students who identify as women are eligible to apply for our scholarships. Applications must be submitted online. Please submit your application by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Past winners are not eligible. Please contact Director of Alumni Engagement Olivia Ruff (oruff@iwu.edu) with any questions about the application process or Women鈥檚 Weekend. Winners will be notified by email during the week of March 17, 2025. Winners must be present at Women鈥檚 Weekend during the Scholarship Award Ceremony, or have received approval to not be in attendance by the Scholarship Chair.
The next CFW Women's Weekend will be held April 4-6, 2025. This annual event provides an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and Council members to discuss social topics concerning women, network with successful alumnae, and channel inspiration to take on leadership roles in today鈥檚 world.
The 91黑料专区 community is invited to attend Women's Weekend. All events are free to attend. Registration is expected to open in late January 2025. Check back here or email councilforwomen@iwu.edu for further information.
Friday, April 4th
- Back-to-Campus Activities. Throughout the afternoon you can sit in on a class, visit with students, and enjoy the beautiful Spring weather!
- Trivia Night. Open to anyone, come and test your knowledge of women through the ages.
- Wilder After Hours. Limited to Council Members, catch up and relax with food, fun, and games.
Saturday, April 5th
- Morning Wellness. Everyone is welcome to participate in some easy morning movement to greet the day.
- Council Gathering and Annual Meeting. After a light breakfast and networking time, we'll get down to business in our Annual Meeting.
- Engagement Lunch. Open to everyone, our official programming kickoff luncheon will include an inspiring keynote as we explore our theme for the year: Women of Influence.
- Engagement Activities. Throughout the afternoon, we invite anyone to stop by for networking, skill-building, and inspiration as we dig deep into what it means to be a woman of influence.
- Scholarship Dinner. We will close the day with a celebration of our scholarship winners, current and past. Hear our winners tell their stories, and we also hope to be joined by the new IWU President.
Sunday, April 6th
- Send Off Breakfast. A chance for Council members to reflect on the weekend, plan for the future, and say goodbye for now.
Council for Women events, including Women's Weekend, are funded by Council members and friends of the Council. The Council for Women scholarships are fully funded by donations made by Council members and friends of the Council. The Council for Women Scholarships are independent scholarships and are not affiliated with IWU Financial Aid.
